| 30th June: Bug & Beetle Hunt - View Report |
| 26th June: Just seen a “group” of 3 recently fledged tits around the pond - 2 blue tits and 1 coal tit. I saw a mixed crèche like this before although a few years ago - then there were 3 of each and they were accompanied by adults. BY. Dragons at last, first I've seen this year. A Four spot Chaser and Broad-bodied chaser teneral. Both out on the fens. Ian D.   |

| 21st June: Spotted a pair of kites circling round Fairchild's Meadow area on more than one occasion which was lovely to see. Flower meadow looking great (apart from thistles). Lots of flag iris in the pond. Carol Breeze. |
19th June: More wild flowers from my lawn (better known as grass). Fox and Clubs aka Orange Hawkweed. I love this and it is as good as any garden cultivated flower. Common Mouse-ear is very diminutive but quite attractive close up. Paul M.    |
18th June: 2 Turtle Doves singing. Also Bullfinches, Common Whitethroats, Skylarks. Common Blue butterfly (Photo) also Brimstone. Teneral Broad-bodied Chaser dragonfly. Common Blue damselflies. Also flowers as Photos - Upright Hedge Parsley aka Jack by the hedge - Fools Watercress - Pink Water Speedwell. PM.    |
18th June: Aldreth High Bridge and OWR river. Reed Warbler, Sedge Warbler, Green Woodpecker family. Red-eyed Damselfly (Photo). Bury Fen corner Garden Warbler, Common Whitethroat, Hobby, 3 Buzzards. Dambank Red Kite, Yellow Wagtails, Corn Buntings, Reed Buntings. Tinkers Lane. Kestrel, Lesser Whitethroat. PM & ID. |
| 16th June: Well despite searching the usual areas in the morning and in the evening in good conditions I have failed to find a single Hobby. None seen at Wicken Fen today which presumably indicates that there are no concentrations lingering there. Either they have not returned or have moved quite a distance. This evening along the New Cut Drain I had 5 Buzzards - 2 over Haddenham, 2 near Graingers Drove and 1 in belt of trees along John Derby's field. Also, 2 singing Reed Warblers in non-reedy habitat. | 13th June: Just had an Adult Common Tern over Froize End heading NNE with fish. 17.20. Chris Boness. |
13th June: Whether this plant arrived by itself or was brought in by compost etc., it is listed as a British Wild Plant/flower but not normally found in this part of the country. It is Flixweed and a close inspection of the flower head showed this along with the leaf detail. Another to add to the Parish list. PM. Thanks to Wendy Lanman.  |
12th June: Salsify found along The Ramparts. Also told of Red Kite regularly seen off Haddenham-Witcham Toll Road.  |
| 5th June: Smart adult male Marsh Harrier, Bullfinch pair. Common Whitethroats, Garden Warbler, Willow Warbler. Yellowhammers. Wildflowers included Red Campion (not a common plant around Haddenham we usually have White) A very red flowered variety of Comfrey, Hedgerow Cranesbill, Goatsbeard. Round a pond in field were Celery-leaved Buttercup, Pink Water Speedwell, Starwort, Pond Water Crowfoot etc. PM & ID. Photographs in order: 1. A variation on the normal Comfrey (red white flowers). 2 Pond Water Crowfoot growing out of the water. 3. Pond edge showing Celery-leaved Buttercup and other aquatics. 4 Celery-leaved Buttercup close. 5 Goatsbeard (jack go to bed at Noon) close up. 6 View of North Fen Drove.      |

1st June: One of our breeding song thrushes, beauty isn't he? Ian. Our first turtle dove in the garden for quite a few years,spotted by Sheila and Ian.   |
