BREAKING NEWS: Bug and Beetle Hunt Report (30th June 2013)

| Many children and grown ups joined in the fun on 30th June, and Roger Booth from the Natural History Museum, London, was able to identify the beetles. We had to try and identify the bugs from charts provided by the Fairchild's committee. All the insect photographs are by Rob Mills. |

 Vespula germanica (German wasp) killing a grasshopper nymph (unidentifiable!). The wasp eventually flew off with the dead nymph. |
