22nd December: A male Hen Harrier was hunting along Dambank Drove, Aldreth at 15:40. It brought back memories as it was over the field where the Pallid Harrier was originally. Happy Christmas to all. Simon Stirrup

2 Redpolls coming regularly to garden along with usual Goldfinches, etc. BY
14th December: Some fungi found this time of year. Look on dead Lime (Tilia) trees. Velvet Shank. Nice sounding name. PM
13th December: Coal Tit and male Bullfinch in garden today. I&SD.
10th December: Buzzard, Peregrine and Marsh Harrier from Dambank Drove this morning plus a flock of c200 finches which were probably mostly Linnet. SS.
5th December: I had a Merlin chasing passerines high over Adventurer's Fen yesterday on 3rd December. Also, had flock of 19 Grey Partridge along Dam Bank Drove on 24th November and 500 Lapwing in the same area on the 18th. Otherwise, rather quiet. SS.
3rd December: Last night I heard Fox vixens calling for a mate. First time this winter. PM
1st December: 2 Redpoll feeding on birches with a small charm of Goldfinches. Moved on by one of the regular visits from one of the local Sparrowhawks. Barbara York
23rd November: Haddenham fens were very quiet this morning. All the thousands of Lapwing and Golden Plovers we had a few days ago are gone. They must be very mobile. However several flocks of Linnets, Corn Buntings and about 150 fieldfares feeding on Hawthorn. No raptors at all. I must say I am not seeing the large numbers of Fieldfares/Redwing as last year. PM

18th November: Taken outside the kitchen window.  ID.
14th November: Dambank-Flatbridge-Gravel Pit Droves. Thousands of Lapwings and Golden Plovers. Too many to count as they were also mobile. 13 Grey Partridges. Also many Skylarks...at least 100. PMI must say I am not seeing the large numbers of Fieldfares/Redwing as last year.
11th November: about 200 Fieldfaress flew over house. 20-25 Greenfinches, 3-4 Longtailed Tits and male Sparrowhawk. Needless to say after raptor appeared everything went dead for at least half hour. I&S DPM
6th November: a.m. Along Back Drove  1500 Lapwings, 3-400 Golden Plovers. 80-90 Skylark flock. Similar sized flock of Linnets, 45-50 Chaffinch flock (no Bramblings yet!). PM
LATE REPORT: 30 October   Long Drove 150 Mallards feeding in stubble.  Very unusual per SS.
2nd November:  Long Drove this morning 10.30.  Adult Male Hen Harrier - brilliant. Also Common Buzzard and male Merlin. PM, I & SD
1st November:  Caspian Gull 3rd-winter at Adventurer's Fen until 07.35, then flew towards Aldreth. Hen Harrier juvenile male. Merlin male. Yellow-legged Gull adult. From a visiting birder, name unknown.  PM
