| 19th: North Fen. Few birds except Sparrowhawk and Common Buzzard. Butterflies: Small Heath, Brown Argus and 1 Holly Blue. Dragonflies included Brown Hawker and Ruddy Darter. PM Left to right and down: Small Heath, Brown Argus, Ruddy Darter, Field Speedwell     |
17th: This Red Underwing came to a window at the Dickerson house. photo ID |
15th: Guppys Pond and Fairchilds Meadows. Dragonflies. Several Migrant Hawkers, Southern Hawkers, 1 Brown Hawker and many Common Darters. Emperor patrolling.over the water. Tinkers Lane. Pair Kestrels, 4-500 mixed flock of corvids mostly young Crows, Jackdaws and Rooks. In amongst cattle legs 24+ Yellow Wagtails feeding on disturbed flies etc. (ringed in light yellow). Along Dambank flock of 30-40 Linnets. PM ID.    |

1st: Three moths caught in trap. Least Yellow Underwing - one of the less common yellow underwings. I only catch two or three a year, and we had two last night. Sallow Kitten - fairly common, but a nice looking beast. Rosy Rustic - one of two we caught. This is only the second time I've caught this species in Cambs, although other people catch them more regularly. Stuart Sharp.   |
